The Strathbogies Responsible Renewables Community Group
The Strathbogies Responsible Renewables Community Group is focussed on a fact based, respectful and inclusive process regarding Fera’s windfarm and powerline proposal for the Southern Strathbogie Ranges.
We support a transparent and honest approach to the community, stakeholders, and decision makers.

Its purpose is to:
-
Consider any proposed renewable energy developments across the Strathbogie Ranges ensuring impacted communities are consulted by any such developments.

-
Inform and provide updates to the community on the proposal and its impact on the community.

-
Identify key decision makers including Victorian Government (DEECA, DPT, Vic Grid, VCAT, Minister of Planning), Local Government, and CFA to understand decision-making processes and requirements.

-
Liaise with the Taungurung people to understand the cultural significance of land in the region.

-
Understand the steps that Fera Australia will take in progressing the proposal. Liaise with Fera Australia on community expectations and the lack of community support.

The Strathbogies Responsible Renewables Community Group (SRRCG) is a registered legal entity which has been formed at the behest of the local community to campaign to convince decision makers not to approve the Project.
